Assigning videos to a class

< All Topics

After you open up a video, click on “Assign to Class” in the right panel. You can assign a video in two ways: assign to watch and assign with quiz.

When you assign a video to watch, students complete the assignment by watching the entire video from start to finish.

When you assign a video with a quiz, students complete the assignment by watching the video and also answering embedded comprehension questions as they watch.

You’ll have to first select the specific quiz you wish to assign. (Many videos have multiple quizzes.) Make sure to click the green “Assign” button.

Note: You’re also able to create your own quiz if you want!

After you pick one of these two options, another panel will open up. Choose a “due date” and an “assigned class” for your video. Then click the save button!

Optionally, you can also select a “date available” for the assignment. This is an extra feature that allows the teacher to control when students have access to an assignment. (For example, if you don’t want students to see your assignment until Monday, March 15th, set the date available for March 15th.)

Once you’ve saved the video, the final assignment screen will appear.

You can copy this link to share the assignment directly with your students. Students will also see the assignment automatically in their dashboard when they log in. (Students must already be in the class.)
